Биография
Between jazz, popular music and orchestral projects, Sabri Tuluğ Tırpan works as pianist and composer, moving among idioms rather than settling in one. He appeared as soloist with the Vidin Symphony Orchestra on 4 December 1998. Tırpan appeared as a piano soloist at the Thracia Summer Music Festival in Plovdiv in 1997. Tirpan was born in Istanbul and studied piano first with Ugur Sezer and Ergican Saydam, then jazz theory and piano with Ali Perret. A scholarship took him in 1989 to Bilkent University's School of Stage Crafts and Music, where Martin Berkofsky and Namik Sultanov taught him; in 1992 he moved to Vienna for piano at the State Conservatory with Geretschlaeger and composition at the Music Academy with Ivan Erod, graduating from both in 1997. In 1995 he represented his school at the Central European Music Academies composition symposium in Prague, saw his Fantasia for cello and piano performed in the Rising Talents concert, and recorded Jorge Sanchez-Chiong's Reflections of Invisible for Austrian radio. For the 75th anniversary of the Turkish Republic he played in Canada, at Walter Hall in Toronto among other halls, and he recorded Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major with the Vidin Philharmonic under Nayden Todorov.
