Биография
Writing's on the Wall, written with Jimmy Napes for Spectre and released in September 2015, entered the British chart at number one — the first James Bond theme to get there — and won the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for best original song. Smith, born in London in 1992, had reached a wide audience three years earlier singing on Disclosure's Latch and Naughty Boy's La La La; the solo debut In the Lonely Hour followed in 2014 and brought four Grammy Awards, including best new artist, and the ballad Stay with Me. The records after it — The Thrill of It All, Love Goes and Gloria — moved from that pared-back falsetto towards dance and gospel textures, and the 2022 duet Unholy with Kim Petras topped the American singles chart. Smith is non-binary and has used they/them pronouns since 2019.
