Биография
The Queen of the Night has carried So Young Park across America — the Metropolitan Opera, where she made her debut in the part in 2019, and Los Angeles, Houston Grand Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Boston Lyric Opera and Glimmerglass besides. Born in Busan, she graduated top of her class at Seoul National University before taking a master's degree and an Artist Diploma at the New England Conservatory and spending two years in the Domingo-Colburn-Stein young artist programme at Los Angeles Opera. Zerbinetta, Gilda, Blondchen, Musetta, Juliette and Setsuko in An American Dream stand beside Mozart's coloratura showpiece. On the concert platform she has sung with the New York Philharmonic and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel and Esa-Pekka Salonen — her first appearance with that orchestra was in Beethoven's Choral Fantasy — and she is the soprano soloist on Plácido Domingo's Sony Classical album My Christmas. In January 2024 she sang the Bucheon Philharmonic's New Year Concert. On 19 January 2024 she was the soloist of the Bucheon Philharmonic's New Year concert at the Bucheon Arts Center under Nayden Todorov, singing Adele's laughing aria Mein Herr Marquis and Frühlingsstimmen by Johann Strauss II on a programme that closed with Dvořák's Ninth Symphony.
