Rome formed Stefania Scolastici twice over: a degree in languages at the Sapienza, and vocal study with Giovanni Ciminelli and the soprano Stefania Magnifico. From 1996 her professional work lay chiefly in the concert hall and the church — Mercadante's Le ultime sette parole, the Stabat Mater settings of Pergolesi and Rossini, the latter's Petite Messe solennelle, Mozart's Requiem, and Vivaldi's Beatus vir, Gloria and Magnificat — with operatic engagements alongside. She teaches singing.
