Биография
Mozart's The Magic Flute and Shostakovich's The Nose are among the stage work of Steliana Dimitrova, a singer of the State Opera Rousse who has divided her time between the staged repertory and the company's concert programmes. She was born in Plovdiv into a family of musicians: her grandfather Stefan Georgiev-Hernani was among the founders of the Rousse opera, her father the conductor Atanas Dimitrov led the choruses of the Rousse and Plovdiv houses, her mother Mariana Stefanova was a répétiteur in Rousse. She left the Rousse music school in 1994 as an oboist and graduated in music pedagogy and piano with Georgi Kanev at the Plovdiv Academy of Music and Dance in 1999, having joined the Dunavski Zvutsi choir in 1997 and the opera chorus a year later. She took over Dunavski Zvutsi in 2011 and the opera chorus in 2012, and completed a master's in choral conducting with Teodora Pavlovich at the New Bulgarian University in 2013. Falstaff, Les contes d'Hoffmann, Katerina Izmailova, Der Rosenkavalier and Macbeth are among her preparations; the Rousse Award came in 2023.
