Stilian Tsvetkov sang in the State Opera Rousse's production of Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier in March 2017. Born in Vratsa on 29 July 1991, the baritone sang as a boy in the Rousse children's and youth choir Dunavski Vulni. He left the Veselin Stoyanov National School of Arts in Rousse in 2010, having studied classical singing with Sofka Indzhova, after a first appearance as soloist with the Rousse Philharmonic in December 2009 and a recital of his own in Vratsa in 2010. In 2015 he completed the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in the vocal class of Jasmina Kostova and the acting class of Violeta Gorcheva. In the chorus of the State Opera Rousse from November 2016, he has taken small parts in most of its productions — the Waiter and the Footman in Der Rosenkavalier, a boyar in Maria Desislava, the notary Kiss in Die Csárdásfürstin — then Dr Carrasco in Man of La Mancha, Herr Schultz in Cabaret, and in July 2019 his first leading role, Miska.
