Sofia's Opera Gala of 2 October 2022 brought Viktor Krastanov together with Ioannis Lazopoulos, Wonjun Jo, Adelina Maria Cociobanu and Bozhidar Bozhkilov, the Sofia Philharmonic accompanying. The Bulgarian bass was one of four singers awarded a Boris Christoff Foundation scholarship in 2021. The season of 2022 brought him Lodovico in Otello, the Commendatore in Don Giovanni and Doctor Grenvil in La traviata at Lirica in Piazza, and the bass solo of Rossini's Stabat Mater at the Italian Cultural Institute in Sofia; the Commendatore returned at the Konstantin Kisimov Music and Drama Theatre across 2023 and 2024. In 2024 he sang the Royal Herald in the Italian Don Carlo at the Sofia Opera and Ballet and recorded Bach's cantata BWV 127 and a movement of the Mass in B minor under Joseph Gerdjikov.
