Zlatan Marinov was among the soloists in the State Opera Rousse's Nabucco on 8 December 2006, in a company that included Plamen Beykov, Evgeny Ganev, Biser Georgiev and Petya Dimitrova. The production was the work of Ivan Savov and Georgi Parvanov. Zlatan Marinov was born in Lom in about 1941 and sang as a spinto tenor of bel canto training. He spent twenty-five years with the Veliko Tarnovo operetta company and fifteen with the Ruse opera, taking more than seventy roles, among them Su-Chong in Lehar's Das Land des Lachelns and Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana. His forty years on stage were marked in Ruse in 2006 with an operetta evening shared with Violeta Shahanava.
