Before

Before is the ninth track of Evolution, the album Anastacia released on 15 September 2017 after two years largely spent away from new material. The songs were cut in Stockholm during the summer of 2016 under Anders Bagge, who produced almost the whole record; the compact production and the absence of guest features were both deliberate. Slower than the singles around it, Before belongs to the group of tracks on the album that sit closer to soul ballad than to rock, and it has been used that way in concert programmes with orchestra.
