Caught in the Middle

Caught in the Middle opened Evolution, Anastacia's seventh studio album, and appeared as its first single on 28 July 2017, seven weeks before the record itself. It was written by Anders Bagge, Lauren Dyson, Javier Gonzalez and Ninos Hanna, and recorded in Stockholm during the summer of 2016 in sessions Bagge produced. The singer had first intended to call the album Stamina and changed her mind, describing the finished set as a balance of soul, pop and rock. The song shares its title with an unrelated 2002 single of hers from Freak of Nature.
