Cowboys & Kisses

Cowboys & Kisses comes from Not That Kind, the debut album Anastacia released in 2000 after winning a televised talent contest in the United States two years earlier. Issued as a single in 2001, it did far better in Europe and Australia than at home — a pattern that held for most of her career and eventually made continental Europe her main audience. The song's slower tempo and gospel-inflected backing set it apart from the dance-pop singles that opened the album, and it is one of the earliest of her songs still kept in concert use.
