Pieces of a Dream

Pieces of a Dream was one of three new songs written for the compilation of the same name that Anastacia released in November 2005, gathering the singles from her first three albums. It was issued as the collection's lead single and reached the top ten in several European markets. The compilation closed the first phase of her career: it was followed by a long gap during which she toured little and recorded nothing new, and the next studio album, Heavy Rotation, did not appear until 2008.
