Why

Why is the eleventh track of Evolution, the album Anastacia released on 15 September 2017. Nearly the whole record was made in Stockholm in the summer of 2016 with the Swedish producer Anders Bagge, and it carries no guest artists — an unusual choice for a pop album of that year and one the singer defended in interviews as a way of keeping the songs undivided. Critics who reviewed the album pointed to the strength of the vocal writing while noting that it was unlikely to return her to the chart positions of 2004.
