The World Is Not Enough

David Arnold and Don Black wrote The World Is Not Enough for the nineteenth James Bond film in 1999, and it was recorded by the American band Garbage with Shirley Manson singing. Arnold had been brought into the series two years earlier and used the song's material throughout the score, restoring a practice from the films of the 1960s. The title comes from the Bond family motto invented for On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Black had been writing Bond lyrics since Thunderball in 1965, longer than anyone else.
