Was wichtig ist

Recorded for the album Mit 66 Jahren (Was wichtig ist...), released in 2000, with music by Udo Jürgens and words by Michael Kunze. The album title looks back to Mit 66 Jahren, the song Jürgens had written in 1977 about what begins rather than ends in old age; by 2000 he had reached that age himself, and the new title track answers the old one. Was wichtig ist stands apart from the up-tempo material he was known for — a slow ballad that takes stock of what is left when success and possessions are subtracted.
