Nostradamus

Nikolo Kotzev's Nostradamus is a rock opera in three acts, released as a double album on 31 May 2001 after several years of work. Kotzev, a Bulgarian guitarist and violinist who settled in Finland and led the band Brazen Abbot, wrote both the music and the libretto and drew his singers from the hard rock world, with members of his own group among them. The subject is the life of the sixteenth-century French physician and seer. The work waited fifteen years for a staging and was first performed live in Rousse on 18 and 19 November 2016.
