Oceania

Oceania is one of Leitner's elemental pieces for flute, harp and orchestra, the group of works she began issuing on her own albums with Earthmagic in 2009. The albums are organised by element — earth, sky, fire — and titles drawn from seas, skies and legends recur throughout. Leitner had played in the Vienna State Opera orchestra and with the London Mozart Players and the BBC Symphony Orchestra before this stage of her career. The piece survives as a recording only; no score, commission or first performance has been traced.
