- Карин Лайтнер
Palazzo Barbaro takes its name from the Venetian palace on the Grand Canal that housed an Anglo-American artistic circle in the late nineteenth century — Henry James wrote there, Sargent painted there. Leitner set the association for flute, harp and orchestra, and the piece is preserved in a single recording. She was born in Vienna in 1972 and studied at the city's music university with Wolfgang Schulz. Her catalogue is organised by album rather than by opus, and no composition date or first performance is documented for this piece.
