Stargaze

Stargaze sits among the pieces Leitner grouped under her sky and night imagery — the album Skymagic followed Earthmagic in 2013 — and is preserved in one recording for flute, harp and orchestra. Leitner, born in Vienna in 1972, studied with Wolfgang Schulz at the University of Music and Performing Arts there and with Robert Aitken in Freiburg, and worked as a solo flautist and piccolo player with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Mozart Players. No published score, commission or first performance has been traced for the piece.
