Thracian Sanctuaries (Trakiyski svetilishta)

Thracian Sanctuaries by Krasimir Taskov received second prize in the Sofia Philharmonic’s 7/8 competition. The audience determined the final ranking. The competition was conceived to stimulate new Bulgarian symphonic music drawing upon the country’s traditional asymmetrical rhythms and to place that music before the listeners who would ultimately judge it.
