Monologue
- Композитор
- Alexander Tekeliev
The Sofia Philharmonic's register lists this work of Tekeliev as Monologue for bass and orchestra, on a text by Hristo Haralampiev. It belongs to a group of orchestral songs the composer wrote for low and high voice — settings of Ivaylo Balabanov, Evgenia Genova and the Serbian poet Zmaj Jovanović among them — in which the orchestra carries the dramatic weight and the voice declaims rather than sings in closed forms. Tekeliev, born in 1942 and a professor of composition in Sofia since 1991, has written more than a hundred published works.
