Denzlingen

Denzlingen's cultural landscape includes modest historic landmarks and a modern public centre. The Storchenturm in the older part of the settlement, St Georg's church and the remains of St Severin's chapel on the Mauracher Berg provide different points of contact with its past. More recent civic development is represented by the town hall of 1995 and the Kultur- und Bürgerhaus, opened in 2003. Set within a park with a lake, the latter brings cultural events and community uses into a shared space. The combination gives Denzlingen a local cultural identity rooted in both inherited buildings and facilities created for contemporary public life.
