Doetinchem

Doetinchem's Amphion brings several forms of cultural activity into one organisation. Theatre and film presentation sit alongside education in music, dance, drama and visual art, with programmes intended for participants of different ages and backgrounds. Its work reaches beyond the experience of attending a performance, creating opportunities to study, rehearse and take part. Partnerships across the Achterhoek connect the organisation with a wider regional audience. Amphion gives Doetinchem a practical role in that cultural network: a place where professional presentation and local participation meet, and where an interest first encountered in the audience can develop through learning and performance.
