Doetinchem has had two buildings of this name: the first opened on 12 October 1968 on the Amphionplein, the second in September 2010 in the town centre, after which the old house was pulled down and its site turned into a park. Il barbiere di Siviglia played the first in 2001 and Carmen the second in 2011. The present theatre is the largest in the Achterhoek, with 860 seats in the Grote Zaal and 300 in the Seesing Flex Zaal; since January 2021 it has been run as part of Amphion Cultuurbedrijf.
