The Bologna Performing Arts Center at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, opened on 1 September 1995. Supported by state funding and private philanthropy, it was conceived as a multidisciplinary resource for the Mississippi Delta. Its Delta & Pine Land Theater is complemented by a smaller recital hall, allowing large visiting productions and more intimate performances to share the complex. The centre combines public entertainment with educational work, including the Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute. Its name honours the generosity of physician Nino Antony Bologna and his wife Betty, whose major gift commemorated their children Nina and Sam.
