Bucheon Arts Center

Bucheon Arts Center opened in May 2023 in the South Korean city of Bucheon. Its principal concert hall seats 1,445 and combines a shoebox plan with seating arranged around the stage. Movable ceiling reflectors and acoustic curtains allow the room's response to be adjusted for different ensembles. Structural isolation limits the transmission of external noise and vibration. A Casavant organ, with 4,576 pipes, sixty-three stops and four manuals, forms part of the hall's musical equipment. Its purpose-built acoustic design gives orchestral, chamber and organ music a specialised setting within the city's public cultural infrastructure.
