History

The Casa de la Cultura occupies the Plaza Luis Martín in the old centre of Roquetas de Mar and is one of two public halls in a town that also has a Teatro Auditorio, built in 2004 on a separate site to a design by Miguel A. Morales. Andalusia's register of cultural spaces lists the Casa de la Cultura in its own right, and it is the room the municipality uses for the smaller end of its programme; a visiting symphony orchestra played there in December 2007.
