Edman Memorial Chapel is a large assembly and concert auditorium at Wheaton College in Illinois, named for the college’s fourth president, V. Raymond Edman. Dedicated during the institution’s centennial year in 1960, it was intended to accommodate gatherings too large for the earlier Pierce Chapel. The building stands at Washington and Franklin streets and provides seating for more than 2,400 people. Alongside regular chapel services and commencement ceremonies, it hosts concerts and community events, including the college’s Artist Series. Its role therefore brings religious observance, university ceremony and public musical performance into a shared campus setting.
