Where Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico meet at a single point, Farmington is the largest town on the New Mexico side, and its Civic Center carries most of the presented performance for that corner of the state: a proscenium theatre of some 1,200 seats, with the small historic Totah Theater downtown and the open-air Sandstone amphitheatre under the same management. The building produces as well as presents — the Four Corners Musical Theatre Company works out of it through the summer, while the September-to-May series brings in touring theatre, dance and concerts.
