Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá

Colombia's leading symphony orchestra was founded in Bogotá in 1967 and has since become the central voice of concert life in a capital that sits at some 2,600 metres — an altitude that tests wind players and brass more than audiences ever notice. French repertoire has a firm place in its programming: Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune, that quiet revolution of a piece, is among the works it has played.
