Plovdiv Chamber Orchestra

Chamber-scale playing has its own economy in Plovdiv, where the larger orchestral forces belong to the opera house. The chamber orchestra works the repertoire that suits its numbers — Vivaldi wrote thirty-nine concertos for the bassoon alone — and it has recorded Mozart: the Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, K. 453, and the Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K. 216.
