Stadthalle Merzig

The Stadthalle Merzig is a cultural and conference venue at Zur Stadthalle 4, serving the town and the wider Saar region. Its large and small audience areas provide flexible arrangements for performances and public events, with a maximum capacity of 714 seated or 1,070 standing. The stage measures 15 by 13 metres and includes a lowerable forestage that can form an orchestra pit. Foyers, a gallery and supporting rooms accommodate receptions, meetings and activities alongside the main programme. In Merzig, close to the great loop the Saar makes below the town, the Stadthalle acts as concert and assembly room for a district that borders both France and Luxembourg. Audiences cross the frontier as easily as the programmes do. Operatic gala tours working the Saarland stop here among the region's civic halls, and the same room serves the town's balls, ceremonies and trade occasions the rest of the year.
