Baritone
Biography
Bruno Taddia's roles include Prosdocimo in Il turco in Italia and Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore. He has sung at Teatro La Fenice, at the Rossini Opera Festival and in houses across Europe and Asia, in Rossini, Donizetti and Mozart as readily as in twentieth-century and contemporary work, and he also performs chamber music and music theatre. Pavia is his home town, and the training behind the voice was mixed: violin in Genoa, experimental composition in Milan, singing with Paolo Montarsolo, and a degree in aesthetics from the University of Milan. His operatic debut came in Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2001, and Don Giovanni, Figaro, Gianni Schicchi and Bajazet in Vivaldi's Tamerlano have followed, at La Scala, Covent Garden and La Monnaie among other houses.
