Daniela Stereva

In April 2000 Daniela Stereva recorded Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 2 in D major with the Thracia Symphony Orchestra, for Music Minus One — the catalogue whose editions set a soloist's performance beside an orchestral track for a student to play against. Nayden Todorov conducted the sessions. From Plovdiv, she studied at the Dobrin Petkov music school and the National Academy of Music in Sofia, then took a master's degree at Louisiana State University and an Artist Diploma at Carnegie Mellon University. She won the Washington International Competition for Strings and has played at the Kennedy Center, and in 2008 she joined the Naples Philharmonic; her discography also takes in chamber projects with the pianist Alexandra Carlson. She holds the position of associate concertmaster of the Naples Philharmonic.
