Biography
Darina Maleeva appeared with the Burgas Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004 and has appeared as a soloist in Burgas, in Ruse and in Sofia, on programmes shared with Yovcho Krushev, Iliana Todorova, Emma Greenwood and Anna Wallstenholm. She studied in Sofia with Ginka Gichkova and then in Paris with Roland Daugareil and Devy Erlih, and her playing runs alongside work on César Franck: she edited his Mélancolie for Henry Lemoine and gave the complete music for violin and piano with Pietro Galli at Brantôme in 2001. She has played in Europe, Japan and the United States, and with the pianist Xavier Lecomte de la Bretonnerie she has recorded Franck's works for the two instruments.
