Baritone
Biography
A recording of Antonio Soler’s Villancicos a San Lorenzo features the baritone Enrique Sánchez Ramos. His stage work includes The Opera Locos, the Yllana company's production in which operatic arias meet physical comedy and audience participation, and which has carried him to international stages including London's Peacock Theatre. He comes from Aranjuez and began at its Joaquín Rodrigo music school, studying singing afterwards with José Rodríguez Valverde at the Teresa Berganza conservatory in Madrid and privately with Menasse Hadjes, with further qualifications in choral conducting, solfège and piano teaching. His first opera role was Guglielmo in Così fan tutte at Leganés, and he has sung at the Teatro Real, the Teatro de la Zarzuela and the Auditorio Nacional as well as in Pamplona, Oviedo and Bilbao, with Bach cantatas among the early music he has given with Hippocampus and Vaghi Concenti.
