Tenor
Biography
In 2001 Guillermo Dominguez sang for the State Opera Plovdiv, in Plovdiv itself and on the company's Dutch dates at Tilburg, in casts that included Petar Naydenov, Zhanet Stegareva, Larissa Schmidt and John Cummins. A Venezuelan tenor from Maracay, he began studying with José Castro, continued in Italy with Elio Battaglia and graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin, working also with Carlo Bergonzi and Franco Corelli. An early Rodolfo in La bohème at Treviso was followed by a repertoire taking in Edgardo, Alfredo, the Duke of Mantua, Cavaradossi and Nemorino, engagements in Europe and Latin America, and a recording project with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Venezuela under Elisa Vegas.
