Jolanta Nikolaeva

Festival and touring projects have taken Jolanta Nikolaeva out of Ruse with the State Opera company with which she appeared from at least 2006, and at home she has appeared across a long run of its productions — Mozart's The Magic Flute, Verdi's Nabucco, Bizet's Carmen and Boyko Bogdanov's Algara among them. She has been with the company since the years of Nayden Todorov's directorship and through the seasons that followed. Kálmán's Die Csárdásfürstin is among the operetta productions she has sung in, and in August 2018 she appeared in the company's open-air performance of it on Bdintsi Square in Vidin during the Baba Vida festival, given with the Vidin Sinfonietta.
