Patrick Simper

Patrick Simper trained in singing and opera at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt am Main and in acting at the city's Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. Engagements at Oper Frankfurt and, in 1992, at the Bayreuth Festival preceded his move in 1994 to the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg as a soloist; since the 2001/02 season he has been a bass at the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken. He sang Kaspar in a television production of Der Freischütz and has appeared as a guest and concert soloist at the Festival de México, the Moscow Philharmonic, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Oper Frankfurt, Staatstheater Mainz and the Nationaltheater Mannheim.
