Harp
Biography
Tali Glaser was born in Tel Aviv in 1968, studied the harp with Judy Liber and graduated from the Rubin Academy at the University of Tel Aviv, going on to advanced work with Judy Loman in Toronto, at the high school for music in Saluzzo in Italy and with Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo school in Maine. Her first appearance as a soloist came in 1984, at sixteen, with the Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta; she has played second harp in that orchestra since 1985 and was its first harp in the seasons from 1991 to 1993, appearing also with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Kibbutzim orchestra and the chamber orchestra of the Education Corps. In 1997 she was soloist at the international harp congress in Seattle, in a concert for the three-thousandth anniversary of Jerusalem and with the World Philharmonic Orchestra in Bangkok. Chamber music, recitals and recordings occupy much of her work, and she has held scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
