Yoana Kadiyska

Since 2016 Yoana Kadiyska has sung with the Sofia National Opera, in performances given at Sofia and at Burgas, alongside Aleksandrina Mihaylova, Eva Jeong, Reynaldo Ramirez-Droz and Davide Ryu. Her first training was in the children's radio choir of Bulgarian National Radio under Hristo Nedyalkov, where Aleksandrina Milcheva heard her and took her on as her first teacher; she completed her degree in opera singing with Svilen Raichev at the National Academy of Music in Sofia in 2015. A scholarship from the Boris Christoff Foundation took her in 2013 to the opera studio of the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, for work with Renata Scotto and Cesare Scarton, and in 2018 a Rayna Kabaivanska Fund masterclass took her on to Modena. She won first prize at the Stoyan Popov competition in 2022 and has sung as a salaried artist of the State Opera in Burgas.
