Zhanet Stegareva

Zhanet Stegareva travelled to Dordrecht and Middelburg in 2001 with the State Opera Plovdiv's Il barbiere di Siviglia, and two years later took part in the Verdi Festival gala at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, on a bill that included Kaludi Kaludov. Her concert repertoire ran to Bozhidar Abrashev's song cycle Confessions, heard in a symphonic programme beside Gershwin. She is a soprano of State Opera Plovdiv and appears on the roster of sopranos of the city's Opera and Philharmonic Society. Her work there has reached from operetta galas at the Ancient Theatre to a chamber matinee built on Vivaldi's L'estro armonico and a Handel cantata for soprano and basso continuo, and she has sung Mozart with the Sliven Symphony Orchestra under Grigor Palikarov.
