Zornitza Dimitrova

In 2004 Zornitza Dimitrova joined the Plovdiv orchestra — billed on its German dates as the Plovdiver Symphoniker — for concerts in Hachenburg, Monschau and Bocholt as well as at home in Plovdiv, appearing with Anna Gemedjieva, Ivaila Vladimirova, Emilia Ivanova and Daniela Karaivanova. Zornitza Dimitrova sang in the chorus of the State Opera in Stara Zagora from 2002 to 2008, and until 2019 in the municipal choir Gena Dimitrova in Pleven. She studied music pedagogy at St Cyril and St Methodius University in Veliko Tarnovo, taking a master's degree in 2005, and trained in the Stara Zagora opera studio under Ressa Koleva. Her 2017 doctorate dealt with baroque music in the teaching of classical singing; since 2020 she has worked at the Institute of Art Studies in Sofia.
