…the orchestra of the State Opera of Ruse, led by Nayden Todorov. What impressed there was not only — when needed — sheer volume of sound, but a transparent clarity of the various instrumental groups, which underpinned the interpreters now powerfully with full percussion, now almost tenderly in piano.
