Redlight

Redlight is the second track of Evolution, released on 15 September 2017. Like most of the album it was recorded in Stockholm in the summer of 2016 with Anders Bagge producing, in a run of sessions that gave the record its uniform sound — guitar-driven verses, layered backing vocals, choruses pitched high in the singer's range. Anastacia has described the mixture as soul, pop and rock held in one place rather than alternating between them. Reviewers noted the album's deliberate distance from the electronic pop dominating charts at the time.
