Violin Concerto no. 2
- Composer
- Alexander Yosifov
- Genre
- Concerto
Yosifov wrote three concertos for violin and orchestra, of which this is the second. He had studied composition with Pancho Vladigerov and conducting with Konstantin Iliev at the Bulgarian State Conservatory, finishing in 1966, and worked across almost every genre — twenty-seven operas and ballets, cantatas and oratorios, symphonies, ten instrumental concertos, choral and children's music, alongside several hundred popular songs and folk arrangements. The concerto stands within that instrumental group, whose documentation is thinner than that of his stage works; no publication or first-performance details have been established.
