Форум Даун

Run by the municipal spa and leisure company, the Forum is the guest and events centre of Daun, the small district seat of the Vulkaneifel. Its main hall covers 390 square metres and takes 537 people in rows or about a thousand standing, with a stage of 100 square metres, a Steinway concert grand, and rooms in the basement used for seminars, workshops and music rehearsals. Three further halls, from 35 to 290 seats, divide by movable partitions. Touring gala programmes reach it in winter — Die Nacht der 5 Tenöre played there in January 2009 — between conferences and family celebrations.
