Софийски фестивален хор

Assembled from Bulgarian singers for concert and operatic work, the Sofia Festival Choir belongs to a long practice by which choruses trained in Sofia take part in productions mounted abroad — Verdi's "Nabucco" and Bizet's "Carmen" among the staples of such seasons. Bulgarian choral training, with its emphasis on sight-reading and blended tone, has made its singers welcome in guest engagements of this kind. The ensemble is known through that touring life rather than through a fixed concert home.
