Built for sport rather than for music, the Sportzentrum takes on the concerts and touring shows. Landsberg is a Bavarian town of medieval gates and a weir on the Lech, and much of its cultural life runs on adaptations of this kind: a hall cleared of its equipment, fitted with staging and lighting for one evening, and returned to the local clubs the next morning.
