Flint in Amersfoort opened on 30 September 1977 to designs by Onno Greiner. The original complex brought a theatre, events hall, creative-education centre and restaurant together around two covered internal streets. A fire on 25 November 1990 destroyed the theatre, while the separated events hall survived. The auditorium was rebuilt on the same site and enlarged, gaining additional seats and a substantial stage tower. A further renovation in 2014 transformed the entrance, restaurant and foyers. Flint presents theatre, dance, musicals, cabaret and concerts, while its additional spaces accommodate conferences and other gatherings. Amersfoort's theatre and events complex on the Coninckstraat burned down on 25 November 1990 and was rebuilt on the same site in 1993, following the plans Onno Greiner had drawn for the 1977 original. The main auditorium seats 804; the adjoining events hall takes 1,250 standing or 800 seated, and the fifteenth-century Sint Aegtenkapel next door belongs to the same organisation and is used for smaller concerts. Some 250 performances a year run through drama, musical, cabaret and children's work.
